We recognised the opportunity and real need for local manufacturing of plastic conveyor components used by the food, beverage and packaging industries, which had been previously sourced from Europe and America. The manufacturing facility has continually developed over the years and now consists of injection moulding with presses ranging from 90 to 350 ton capacities, producing components such as flat top and crate conveyor chain links, sprockets, guide rail systems and more than 2000 conveyor components. The Technical Design Centre which programmes all the CNC machinery, also has at its disposal, a Cimcore II portable measuring arm, enabling IRP to locally produce accurate components for original equipment machinery where no manufacturing drawings are available, thereby reducing downtime and inevitably reducing cost by enabling us to produce locally, parts which are an equal standard and quality to the imported originals and at a fraction of the cost. This nylon is commonly used in items such as change parts, and bottle feed equipment for bottling and canning plants, corner tracks and wear strips.
