This means, we do not stay on site for days to complete the job!! Secondly, our degreaser is environmentally friendly, bio-degradable and ACID FREE. High pressure, cold water washing to remove dirt and grime buildup over a number of years. Joint sand (sand between the paving bricks) should be replaced if required. We will advice on the severity and extend of the problem and what action is required. When this happens, the sub-surface of the paving will start to detoriate and your paving will sink away. Ants can also play a big role and regular checks should be done to eliminate ants and ant nests. We use a waterbased, pure acrylic sealer that gives a wet look finish. The sealer is a great way to lock in the jointing sand keeping the sand form blowing or washing out together with enhancing the natural colours of the paving. Prevent oil, fat and other items that can leave a stain from penetrating the surface. Cleaning of surfaces will be much easier but general maintenance is still required. Surfaces can become slippery as it takes away the roughness of the surface. Will fade over time (like any sealer) and on higher footflow areas will detoriate faster (any sealer) The longer you can leave the area to dry, the less change you have of black tyre marks and tyre residue. TIP: Test the area first, and let your car’s tyres cool down before driving on the sealed driveway. Always a problematic area as the removal of cement residue and paint spots can not always be 100% achieved. The time the paint and cement residue were left on the surface. It is essential to make sure your contractor clean these areas emmediatly before the paint or cement gets a change to cure and dry. Even with high pressure, cleaning can be done to a point, then the surface of the paving will start to brake up and cause damage to your paving. Acids and strippers can also be used but there is a risk again of damaging the surface or cause de-coloration of the paving. This requires the use of chemicals that will contaminate the soil and/or de-color the surface of paving. The longer the stain is present, the more difficult it will be to remove, and in most cases, the surface need to be replaced. We are able to remove the toughest of dirt, algae staining (rust, calcification and oil carbon stains may remain) that has built up over a period of time. Whether your driveway is block or crazy paved we can carry out a regular maintenance programme to ensure your paving is clean tidy and looking well kept. If your driveway is block paved, sand is swept back between the pavers (if required) to give a wonderful clean finish. This goes hand in hand with sealing the surface to lock the grout sand in and eliminate sand loss as a result of water and wind.
